God Makes All Things New

"Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."
- Isaiah 43:18-19 ESV
Have you ever heard the saying, "Out with the old, and in with the new"? Well, today's Bible verse from Isaiah 43:18-19 talks about God doing something new in our lives. It's like He's saying, "Forget about the past and get ready for something amazing!"
Now, when we hear the word "new," we might think about getting a new car, a new house, or even a new job. But the "new" that God is talking about here is much more special. He is talking about making our lives better, even in places where we might feel lost or stuck.
God knows that sometimes we face difficult situations, just like a road in the middle of a wilderness or a desert without water. These things can make us feel sad, frustrated, or even lonely. But guess what? God promises to make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert!
Imagine being lost in the middle of nowhere, and suddenly a road appears. It would make it so much easier to find your way, right? That's what God wants to do for us. When we feel lost or confused, He will make a way for us to find our path again.
And what about rivers in the desert? Deserts are usually dry and hot, with no water in sight. But if a river suddenly appeared, it would bring life and refreshment to everyone around. That's how God wants to bless us too. In our dry and difficult times, He wants to bring us joy and comfort, just like a river in the desert.
So, how can we experience this "new" that God has for us? Well, first, we need to trust Him. We must believe that He is always with us, even in the tough times. God loves us so much that He wants to help us through anything we face.
Next, we need to let go of the past. Sometimes, we hold onto old mistakes, regrets, or even bad memories. But God is telling us to forget about those things. He is ready to do something amazing in our lives, but to receive it, we must be willing to let go of the old and embrace the new.
Remember, God is always working behind the scenes, even when we can't see it. He promises to make a way for us when we feel lost and to bring us joy in difficult times. So, let's trust Him and get ready for the amazing "new" He has in store for us!
Today, let us choose to fix our gaze on the One who is making all things new. Let us trust Him to make a way even in the most challenging circumstances. As we release the past and embrace the newness of His work, we will find hope, restoration, and abundant life. May our hearts be filled with gratitude for the God who is always ready to do a new thing in our lives.
