Week Five - War In Heaven
Week Five's message is a blend of history, faith, and hope. We live in a world where bad news seems to dominate, but I’ve got some good news for you: bad news never prevails. From the tragedy of Pearl Harbor to the ultimate victory at the Battle of Midway, history teaches us that darkness is always followed by light. The same truth applies to our faith—on Good Friday, Jesus died. It was the darkest moment in history. But three days later, He rose again, bringing the greatest news of all.
In this lesson, we’ll explore a similar story from the Old Testament through the eyes of the scribe Ezra. The nation of Judah faced a crisis, with the Messianic line of King David hanging by a single thread. Through betrayal, murder, and mayhem, it seemed like Satan had won. But God had a plan—one heir survived, and the promise of the Messiah remained intact.
As we dive into 1 Chronicles 17, we’ll see that God always builds up, while Satan seeks to tear down. But take heart—God’s plans always prevail. No matter how bleak things look, the morning is coming. So join us as we learn how God's people found hope in their darkest hour and how we can trust in His victory today.
