Week Two - The Gift of Wisdom
Week two of the six week series, Revival, brings us a message about wisdom. This sermon explores the life of King Solomon, known as the wisest man in history apart from Jesus Christ. By examining passages from 1 Kings 4 and 2 Chronicles 1, it reveals how Solomon’s wisdom and humble request for guidance from God set a foundation for Israel’s prosperity and success. Solomon's journey began with a monumental sacrifice to God, demonstrating his total dependence on divine wisdom to lead his people.
We will learn Solomon's heartfelt prayer for wisdom over wealth, power, or personal gain, illustrating his desire to fulfill God’s purpose. God not only granted him unmatched wisdom but also blessed him with riches, wealth, and glory beyond measure. Solomon’s wisdom brought unparalleled peace, prosperity, and favor to Israel.
The sermon also emphasizes a yet another lesson from Ezra: the importance of seeking God's wisdom to reboot and live a fulfilled life. Drawing from 2 Chronicles 7:14, it encourages believers to humble themselves, pray, seek God’s face, and turn from wicked ways to experience healing and revival in their lives and their land.
