Serving God - Week Four

Mar 23, 2025    Rebekah Knape

We’re continuing our series, Established, where we’re learning what it means to have a real, personal relationship with God, not just knowing about Him, but truly walking with Him. Each week, we’ve explored different ways God invites us to grow deeper in our faith. This week, we’re turning our attention to something that completely flips our expectations upside down, what it means to live a life of true greatness.

Our culture, much like ancient Rome, is built around climbing the ladder of success, pursuing wealth, power, and comfort. We often define success by how high we can rise or how much we can accumulate. But in John 13, Jesus completely turns that mindset on its head. On the night before He would go to the cross, at the very moment when He had all power and authority, Jesus didn’t demand to be served, instead, He knelt down and served others.

In This Message, We’ll Discover:

✔ Why Jesus redefines greatness through serving others

✔ How Jesus took the lowest position to show us the highest form of love

✔ Why we can’t separate loving God from serving people

✔ How living a life of service leads to true joy and fulfillment

Jesus wasn’t just giving an example to follow—He was revealing who God is. When we serve, we don’t just reflect Jesus, we encounter Him in a deeper way. True greatness, true soul satisfaction, isn’t found in being served but in serving others.

This message is a game-changer for how we see life, success, and our purpose. Don’t miss it! Come ready to break free from the Lazy Boy mindset and step into the kind of life Jesus promises, a life of deep, lasting fulfillment found in loving and serving others.
